Liesl Warner

Liesl is an accomplished harpist having been support act for the late Victor Borge, Kamahl and with the Australian String Quartet at Opera in the Outback.

She has been performing for wedding ceremonies and receptions for the past seventeen years. Her style adds romance, sophistication and elegance to the big day.

Her harp playing is perfect for providing beautiful music at a wedding ceremony , ideally suited to a garden or outdoor wedding but just as much at home in a church service.

Also her harp playing can provide fine background music as your guests arrive for pre-dinner drinks or as they enter for dinner.

Liesl plays a concert harp (as seen in Symphony Orchestras) which has nearly fifty strings and a six and a half octave range. It can get all the notes of the piano, is portable and provides a large natural sound which does not need extra amplification.

Liesl plays a mixture of classical and recognizable popular tunes.

The Amicus Strings

Welcome to The Amicus Strings. Since our formation in 1996, we have become one of Adelaide’s busiest performing ensembles, with extensive experience in providing fine music for all occasions.

Our members are professional musicians who perform with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and the Adelaide Art Orchestra, as well as for visiting artists such as John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John, Anthony Warlow, Judi Connelli, Julie Anthony, Marina Prior, David Campbell and Glenn Shorrock.

Music can be played at any part of your wedding to provide a memorable experience on your special day. We can perform for the ceremony, pre-dinner drinks, reception or any combination of the above. Our repertoire includes Classical, Light Classical and Popular music (ranging from 1930s to The Beatles and beyond).

Aurora Strings formed in 2001 and is made up of graduates of the Elder Conservatorium at the University of Adelaide. This versatile string quartet is in demand for functions and concert series around Adelaide, performing music from their classical and popular repertoire.

Our wide range of repertoire extends from light classics to famous musicals, tangos, jazz and popular modern tunes. Aurora Strings specialise in tailoring music for wedding ceremonies and look forward to playing on your special day.

Vivente Ensemble

With over 15 hours of music in our repertoire we have a large and varied selection of styles to cater for most tastes. If a particular favourite piece is not in our repertoire we can discuss the possibilities of specially arranging it for you.

Although primarily a string quartet, other possible ensembles include trio, duets, strolling violinist and salon orchestra. The musicians of the ensemble come from the ranks of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra bringing their classical expertise to a different dimension.
